ODI: When disasters and conflict collide

Disasters hit hardest in the world’s most fragile states, yet international disaster risk reduction (DRR) policy and funding were consistently failing to account for conflict. This flagship research programme from ODI set out to close that evidence gap and shift how the sector approaches DRR in fragile settings, publishing across three years to build the case ahead of the Sendai Framework’s midpoint.

I managed the full publications process for six key outputs across the programme: sourcing, commissioning and managing contractors, proofreading, and typesetting each report in InDesign – all against tight and often conflicting deadlines across a staggered publication schedule.
