I worked as a freelance copyeditor for RIBA for many years, working on titles that often overlapped with my development focus – including gender representation and environmental sustainability – alongside broader technical and policy-facing subjects.

Titles I copyedited include: Future Healthcare Design, A Gendered Profession: The Question of Representation in Space Making, Targeting Zero: Embodied and Whole Life Carbon Explained, and The Environmental Design Pocketbook.

As author Sofie Pelsmakers put it in the latter book’s acknowledgements: “Hannah Bass was pivotal in co-editing the entire manuscript and clarifying many ‘Belgianisms’ into English.”
